Returnable bottles lead to EUR 1,000 donation for parents’ association for children with cancer

Instead of throwing returnable bottles into the rubbish, the employees of Eurogate Technical Services in Wilhelmshaven collected their tins and bottles for a year in aid of the Wilhelmshaven-Friesland-Harlingerland parents’ association for children with cancer. The spontaneous campaign paid off: the collection itself raised almost EUR 500. The management with Detlev Schumacher (second from left) and Birgit Holtmann (not in the picture) then doubled this amount. Klaus Zimmermann (from left), Detlev Schumacher and Simon Krauts handed over theEUR 1,000 donation to Vanja Pruin of the parents’ association for children with cancer on Friday, 20 February 2015 in the office of the association in the “Angelika Reichelt Kinder- und Jugendhospiz Joshuas Engelreich” children and adolescent hospice in Wilhelmshaven.

“The motivation among all of the employees was high” ,says Managing Director Detlev Schumacher. “EUROGATE Technical Services can well envisage conducting such campaigns again in the future for the good cause.”
