    7 Social plugins

    1. Use of Social Media plugins

    (1) Currently, we use the following Social Media plugins: [Facebook, Google+, Twitter]. We use the so-called two click solution. When you first visit our website, we do not forward any personal data to the providers of the plugins. You can recognise the provider through the label on the box above the first letters of the provider’s name or the logo. This way you can directly communicate with the provider of the plugin if you wish. The provider of the plugin will only receive the information that you visited the respective website of our online offering if you click and activate the corresponding box. Furthermore, the data listed in §  3 of this Policy will be transmitted. Facebook and Xing claim that the IP address will be anonymised in Germany as soon as it is collected. By activating the plugin, personal data concerning you will also be transmitted to the respective provider of the plugin and stored there (if the provider is an American company, the data will be stored in the US). Since the plugin provider uses mainly cookies to collect data, we recommend that you delete all the cookies in the security settings of your browser before you click on the grey box.

    (2) We have no influence on the data collected and the data processing operations and we do not know the full extent of data collection, the processing purposes and the storage periods. We do not have any information, either, on when the plugin providers erase the data collected.

    (3) The plugin provider stores the data concerning you in the form of user profiles and uses such data for marketing and market research purposes and/or to design its website on the basis of user interests. Data analysis is also carried out, in particular, to display interest-based advertisements (also to users that are not logged in) and to inform other users of the social network about your activities on our website. You have the right to object to such user profiles being compiled. Such objections must be addressed to the respective plugin provider. The plugins offer you the possibility to interact with social media and other users and give us the opportunity to improve our offering and make it more attractive to you as the user. The legal basis of using plugins is Art. 6 (1) point f) GDPR.

    (4) The data are forwarded irrespective of whether you have an account with the plugin provider or are logged in to such an account. If you are logged into your account with the plugin provider, the data collected on our website will be directly attributed to your existing account with the plugin provider. If you confirm the activated button and, for instance, link the site, the plugin provider will also store this information in your user account and will publicly disclose it to your contacts. We recommend that you always log out after using a social media network and especially before you activate the button, because this will prevent your visit being attributed to your profile stored by the plugin provider.

    (5) For more information on the purpose and scope of data collection and processing by the provider of the plugins, please go to the data privacy policies of these providers listed below. These policies also contain further information on your rights in this respect and on the settings you can adjust to protect your privacy.
