    Our success is based on the combined expertise and team-oriented cooperation of our management. The EUROGATE Group Management Board is composed of four members.

      Tom Eckelmann knows (born 1983) the company and the industry inside out. After graduating from Edinburgh University and the Cass Business School at London’s City University, he gained his first professional experience as a line manager at X-PRESS FEEDER in Singapore and as an analyst with MORGAN STANLEY INFRASTRUCTURE PARTNERS, a London-based investment group. Since September 2012, Tom Eckelmann has held various management positions at EUROGATE, including Managing Director of EUROGATE Container Terminal Hamburg from January 2019 to February 2022. In addition, he has been a member of the Board of Directors of Contship Italia SpA., Milan, since April 2015.

    • Michael Blach

      From 1984 to 2008, Michael Blach (born 1964) held various management positions at the Maersk Group corporate head office as well as around the world – including Trade Manager in Copenhagen, Managing Director of Maersk Indonesia in Jakarta, Maersk Country Manager, first in Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur) then in Poland (Warsaw), followed by a posting as Area Sales Manager Central Europe in Hamburg. From 2008, Blach acted as Vice President of Key Client Management for the A.P. Moller-Maersk Group, before moving to BLG five years later. As of 2017, in addition to serving as a Member of the Management Board of the BLG Logistics Group, Michael Blach is joint Chairman of the EUROGATE Group Management Board with Thomas Eckelmann.

      Finances and Controlling

       

      Marcel Egger (born 1965) started his career with the EUROKAI/EUROGATE Group in 1991 as Director of Finances of the EUROKAI Group. With the founding of EUROGATE in 1999, he assumed the position of Director of Finances and parallel to this was responsible for the foreign activities and business development of the newly founded corporate group. Since July 2009, Marcel Egger has been a member of the EUROGATE Group Management Board. Marcel Egger is a qualified banker and graduated as a certified banking specialist from the Banking Academy in Frankfurt am Main.

    • Christian Lankenau

      HR, Legal Affairs and Auditing

       

      Christian Lankenau, born in 1977, completed an apprenticeship as a banker and studied business administration at the universities of Bremen (GER), Leeds (UK) and Caen (F), graduating with a diploma in business administration. After completing his studies, he worked in various functions at the auditing company KPMG in Bremen and Chicago (US) between 2004 and 2011. In 2011, he moved to NTB North Sea Terminal Bremerhaven as Commercial Director, becoming its Managing Director on July 1, 2017. As of 2021, he is HR Director and a member of the EUROGATE Group Management Board.
