Do you need storage space or assistance with import and export formalities? If so, we are definitely the right partner for you, because we collect and store your goods either inside or outside the free port zone. Powerful IT networks guarantee optimum transparency as well as gap-free documentation of all processes. In Hamburg we have 20,000 m² of available warehouse space and in Bremerhaven over 1,000 m². Our storage areas are bonded warehouses (type C).
With us, full service doesn’t end at the terminals. On request, in addition to the necessary dockside transhipments, we are therefore also happy to organise pre- and post-carriage of your goods, drawing on all available modes of transport. At the same time we assume responsibility for project management and coordinate the smooth cooperation between all parties concerned.
Our service begins at the planning stage. On request, we consult with you up front about the concept and execution of your standard or special transport needs and propose solutions for packing and shipment problems.
With its lashing service, SWOP ensures the seaworthy securing of containers and non-containerised goods on board seagoing vessels. We also perform a range of special services at the terminal, such as relashing of loads on flats, securing price goods for transport on roll trailers or flats, and much more besides.
Lashing of cargo on board seagoing vessels is extremely important because the safety not only of the load itself, but also of the crew depends on the lashers’ work when ships meet with rough seas and there is a danger of the containers sliding, tipping or falling.
The securing of your load is our highest priority. Whether for seagoing or overland transport, our team of specialised and experienced experts will find the optimum and standard-compliant packing solution. Project loads, out-of-gauge, heavy lift or sensitive and fragile cargoes: at EUROGATE’s terminals in Hamburg and Bremerhaven we take care of transport-compatible packing using state-of-the-art technology and thus optimally protect your load against the mechanical and climatic impacts of intermodal transport.
Our experienced teams forward goods of all sizes and dimensions, bulk goods, awkward piece goods, extra-wide, extra-high and groupage freight shipments professionally, promptly and reliably. Your goods will be packed, lashed, stored or palleted in line with customers’ shipping terms either on your premises or at our terminals on flat rack, platform, open top or closed containers. We provide all necessary packaging materials, including prefabricated crates and boxes, just in time and, where required, organise shipper’s own containers for purchase.
We weigh your export containers/flats with a corresponding weighing system in compliance with the SOLAS regulations using method 1. That means we determine the gross weight by weighing the entire packed and sealed container.
We transmit the weighing certificate to you by e-mail directly after weighing.
