Navis User Group Conference hosted by EUROGATE Tanger.
Host of this year’s Navis User Group Conference is EUROGATE Tanger. From 27 to 29 September 2011, the 16th European and Mediterranean Navis User Group Conference will take place at the Hotel Andalucia in Tangier, Morocco. The annual meeting brings together the most important container terminal representatives of the European and Mediterranean region, who are using the terminal operation system solution provided by Navis, a US-based company and part of the Cargotec Group.

First ocean carrier to call at EUROGATE Tanger.
Today, the first ocean carrier will call at the EUROGATE Tanger container terminal. The carrier in question is CMA CGM’s main vessel “Otello”, which will discharge five disassembled Kalmar RTGs. The first regular service will start on 8 October 2008. This will be CMA CGM’s Far East – Northern Europe service (FAL 1), which deploys vessels with a loading capacity of 8,500 TEUs. The first such vessel to call at Tangier will be CMA CGM’s “La Traviata

EUROGATE Tanger: First feeder services on a regular basis.
After the first call of CMA CGM’s feeder vessel “Tobruk” about one month ago, EUROGATE Tanger has started to handle feeder services on a regular basis. “Although the terminal is still in a testing phase and not yet officially opened, we are very proud that our operations are working so well that we are already able to handle regular feeder services. Construction work at our terminal proceeds well. We are now preparing to handle the first ocean carrier in September”, says Domenico Bagalà, President of the Management Board of EUROGATE Tanger.
