    New operations manager in Wilhelmshaven

    Effective from 1 March, Armin Hüser will succeed Johannes Stelten as Operations Manager at EUROGATE Container Terminal Wilhelmshaven (CTW). He joined CTW as Shift Manager in January 2012 and therefore knows day-to-day terminal business like the back of his hand.

    Born in Leer, Lower Saxony, in 1961, Armin Hüser is a qualified industrial engineer for maritime transportation and certified Master Mariner. He began his training at the age of 16 with the heavy-lift cargo carrier DDG Hansa, gained his unrestricted master’s certificate (Master Mariner) from the Nautical College in Leer in 1983 and until 1989 sailed on general cargo and container ships of the Thien & Heyenga shipping line in Hamburg. In 1989, he went ashore and held several positions at Emder Verkehrsgesellschaft from operations manager to authorised joint signatory (Gesamtprokurist). This was followed by management positions at the Ems Ports Agency and Stevedoring and Anker Schifffahrtsgesellschaft in Emden, before he moved to EUROGATE Container Terminal Wilhelmshaven.

    Armin Hüser is married and has an adult daughter.
