31.03.2008 - Tangier. Delivery of the first five container cranes for EUROGATE Tanger.

This valuable cargo is being delivered to Tangier today by the heavy lift ship ZHEN HUA 11. The container cranes have a 60-day voyage behind them. The ZHEN HUA 11 departed from Shanghai in early January, crossed the Indian Ocean, passing Madagascar and sailing around the African Cape in the direction of Morocco.

“The arrival of the first five ship-to-shore cranes at EUROGATE Tanger represents an important milestone in the set up of the EUROGATE Terminal”, observes Domenico Bagalà, Chairman of the Management Board of EUROGATE Tanger S. A. “Due to its geostrategic position, Tangier represents a potential crossroads for global container traffic on north-south and east-west routes. The terminal will also offer greater opportunities for import and export activities in Morocco.”
